No other luxury EV delivers electrified performance, everyday versatility, and premium refinement quite like the e-tron. To prove how the Audi e-tron is the best choice in the segment, Audi Ann Arbor has taken the time to compare it against two of its top rivals - the Jaguar I-PACE and Tesla Model X. Let's see exactly how Audi fares against the competition.

First up to challenge the Audi e-tron is the Jaguar I-PACE. Although the Jaguar offers a slight price advantage over the Audi, you'll quickly learn that there are plenty of sacrifices to be made when you choose an I-PACE instead of the e-tron.

The e-tron has the advantage in terms of total system horsepower, allowing you to experience more electrified exhilaration on your daily drive. Similarly, the Audi e-tron has a maximum towing capacity of 4,000 pounds to help you bring along even your biggest toys. Unfortunately for Jaguar drivers, the I-PACE is not recommended for towing. Thinking all of this performance capability comes at the cost of convenient charging options? That's simply not the case with the e-tron. Using 50 kW DC charging, the e-tron can charge from 0-80% in about 30 minutes. The Jaguar I-PACE requires 85 minutes to charge under the same circumstances.

Front fog lights, stylish 20-inch alloy wheels, and a blind spot monitoring system are each examples of standard features on the e-tron. You'll have to select costly options and packages at Jaguar to get the same equipment on the I-PACE. Similarly, the e-tron comes standard with a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel compared to the manual adjustable steering wheel of the I-PACE.

In terms of interior comfort and versatility, the clear favorite is the Audi e-tron. Standard rear HVAC controls ensure back seat passengers can personalize their climate preferences. Both the driver and front passenger will enjoy heated and ventilated front seats for maximum comfort. The e-tron comes standard with genuine leather upholstery, a sizable improvement over the synthetic leatherette found inside the I-PACE. Greater rear legroom, a higher number of audio speakers, and a larger cargo capacity round out the list of reasons why the Audi e-tron is the better option than the Jaguar I-PACE.

Next up to face off against the Audi e-tron is the Tesla Model X. In this matchup, the Audi e-tron represents $5,190 in savings as compared to the far more expensive Tesla Model X. Despite its premium price tag, the 375V battery of the Model X is less powerful than the 396V unit fitted to the e-tron. Its stronger voltage helps resist degradation and enhances power delivery.

Standard roof rails on the e-tron help you carry larger cargo on the roof of the vehicle, an ability which the Model X lacks in this trim level. A standard panoramic view monitor takes the uncertainty out of parking in a congested parking lot with the e-tron. In the unfortunate event of an accident, standard Audi connect CARE is integrated into the e-tron and can send help to your exact location. Both of these helpful features are not included on the Model X.

Ventilated front seats help make those hot summer days more pleasant inside the e-tron. Tesla drivers will have to do without them. Similarly, the synthetic leatherette lacks the genuine feel and comfort of the leather upholstery inside the Audi. Its 40/40/20 split folding rear seat helps create more possibilities for carrying a combination of cargo and passengers on the way to your next weekend adventure.
