Audi Luxury Sedan Models

Audi sedans have always led the industry. It was Audi that proved the feasibility of all-wheel drive for everyday sedans, and Audi remains a technology leader in areas from EV charging to headlights. Audi also offers a much more extensive sedan lineup than competitors manage, including performance variants and electric models. In fact, the lineup is so extensive that we thought a guide would be helpful in picking out which incredible Audi sedan is right for you.

The subcompact A3 continues that tradition, but Audi’s commitment to cutting-edge technology has made this sedan even more fun to drive than ever before. Three different versions of the A3 are available, representing three different levels of focus on performance. The RS3 even carries on the Audi tradition of offering five-cylinder engines, and it’s quite the potent power plant at that. Audi’s advanced quattro® all-wheel drive system comes standard on all three versions, as does a lightning-quick 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission.

Audi A5

The A5 gives you the same kind of driving fun as the A3, but with a bit more space. This compact sedan packs some serious power, especially if you opt for the V6-powered S5, which manages a 0-60 time of just 4.3 seconds. The A5 and S5 both come with standard quattro® all-wheel drive and a 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission, which both contribute to the excellent driving dynamics you’ll enjoy in the A5. Audi A6

2026 Audi A6

Key Features
  • Starting at $64,100 MSRP*

The A6 is a midsize sedan that offers standard V6 power and all-wheel drive, both of which make it a standout in its segment. The good looks of the A6 are understated, for those who want a luxury experience, but don’t feel the need to call attention to themselves. There is no performance variant of the A6, since the blazingly quick RS7 fills that role, but the standard engine is powerful enough to propel the A6 from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds, so you won’t be left lacking. The A6 offers similar front seat space to the smaller models in the lineup, but the back seat is much more spacious, and even though the A6 has a traditional trunk, it’s more than big enough for all the luggage you’ll need on vacation.

Audi A6 e-tron

2026 Audi A6 e-tron

Key Features
  • Starting at $65,900 MSRP*
  • Drivetrains:
    A6 e-tron - Single electric motor producing 375 horsepower
    A6 e-tron - Dual-motor configuration producing 456 horsepower
    S6 e-tron - Dual-motor configuration producing 543 horsepower
  • Rear-wheel drive, with available quattro® all-wheel drive
  • Overall Length - 194 inches
  • Wheelbase - 116.1 inches
  • Headroom - 38.5 inches (front) / 37.6 inches (rear)
  • Legroom - 41.4 inches (front) / 35.2 inches (rear)
  • Trunk Space - 25.95 cubic feet

As the name suggests, the A6 e-tron is the electric version of the A6. But this isn’t some clumsy retrofit; the A6 e-tron rides on a dedicated and highly advanced EV platform. There are three different drivetrains offered, including the massively powerful dual-motor configuration in the S6 e-tron. All versions of the A6 e-tron get excellent range, thanks to Audi’s industry-leading EV technology. The single-motor version is rated at 392 miles, and the dual-motor has 377 miles. And even with all that power, the S6 e-tron is still rated at an impressive 324 miles. The design is slightly different from the conventional A6, with a spotback design that allows for a ton of cargo space, although the conventional model does offer more back seat space.

Audi RS7

2026 Audi RS7

Key Features
  • Starting at $132,700 MSRP*
  • Engines:
    RS7 - 4.0L biturbo TFSI® V8 producing 621 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque
  • Standard quattro® all-wheel drive
  • Overall Length - 197.2 inches
  • Wheelbase - 115.3 inches
  • Headroom - 37 inches (front) / 37.1 inches (rear)
  • Legroom - 41.3 inches (front) / 37 inches (rear)
  • Trunk Space - 24.6 cubic feet

The RS7 is based on the conventional A6, and you’ll notice very similar dimensions as a result. The biggest difference as far as styling is concerned is the sportback design, which allows for more cargo space in the back, even compared to the generous trunk space in the A6. However, the real difference can be found under the hood, where a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 resides. This incredibly powerful engine can rocket you to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. And massive 16.5-inch front and 14.6-inch rear brake discs mean that stopping is just as impressive and effortless as taking off like a rocket. This is a sport sedan with the heaviest possible emphasis on sport.

Audi A8

2026 Audi A8

Key Features
  • Starting at $95,100 MSRP*
  • Engines:
    A8 - 3.0L TFSI® V6 producing 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque
    S8 - 4.0 TFSI® V8 producing 563 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque
  • Standard quattro® all-wheel drive
  • Overall Length - 209.5 inches
  • Wheelbase - 123.1 inches

  • Legroom - 41.5 inches (front) / 44.3 inches (rear)
  • Trunk Space - 12.5 cubic feet

The A8 is Audi’s full-size flagship sedan, with interior space that far exceeds the rest of the lineup, including more rear legroom than even the front row of the A8 comes with. The A8 is packed with high-tech features, including advanced driver aids and an audiophile-grade Bang & Olufsen® stereo system. The standard V6 engine is tuned for smooth power delivery, with enough torque to make moving the large sedan seem effortless. But if you want more power, the S8 comes with a whole lot of it. The V8-powered performance version hit 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, astonishingly quick for a sedan this size.

Audi A6 e-tron

2026 Audi e-tron GT

Key Features
  • Starting at $127,700 MSRP*
  • Drivetrains:
    S e-tron GT - Dual-motor configuration producing 670 horsepower
    RS e-tron GT - Dual-motor configuration producing 912 horsepower
  • Standard quattro® all-wheel drive
  • Overall Length - 197 inches
  • Wheelbase - 114.2 inches
  • Headroom - 38.2 inches (front) / 36.5 inches (rear)
  • Legroom - 41.9 inches (front) / 32.2 inches (rear)
  • Trunk Space - 9.2 cubic feet

Though it has four doors and is technically a sedan, there’s a whole lot of sports car in the e-tron GT, perhaps even supercar. The first indicator is that there is no “standard” version of the car, only an S e-tron GT and an RS e-tron GT, both of which are dedicated performance versions. With the astronomical power output of the dual motors, the RS e-tron GT goes from 0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds, quicker than even the recently-discontinued V10-powered R8 supercar, making it the quickest production Audi model of all time. Yet the e-tron GT is practical as well, with up to 300 miles of range and more front legroom than you get in even the full-size A8. It also has creature comforts like a glass roof that can switch from transparent to opaque at the press of a button, as well as Matrix-design LED headlights.

*Price excludes $1,295 destination, taxes, title, other options and dealer changes. Dealer sets actual price.
