Audi Service Intervals & Maintenance Schedule in Ann Arbor, MI

Audi Service Schedule
Modern vehicles don’t require as much maintenance as they once did, which is undeniably a good thing. However, this does mean that maintenance schedules aren’t nearly as predictable as they used to be. Even if you’ve owned Audi vehicles in the past, a newer model might not have the same service schedule. In order to help you make sure that you’re following the correct schedule, we’ve put together the following guide.
First at 10,000 miles or 1 year after delivery, whichever occurs first. Thereafter, every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever occurs first:
- Brake system - Check the thickness of the brake pads.
- Engine oil and oil filter - Change oil and replace filter
- Multi-point inspection - Complete
- Service reminder indicator display - Reset display
- Tire repair kit - Check and record the completeness and expiration date (if equipped)
Every 20,000 miles or two years, whichever occurs first:
- Body/chassis - Visually inspect for possible paint damage and corrosion, from the inside and outside, with the doors as well as hood and trunk lids open
- Brake system - Check for damage and leaks, condition of brake lines, and the presence of the bleeder caps. Check thickness of the brake pads.
- Connected box / OCU / ConMod battery (for Audi Connected Services) - Check state of health with Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Functions
- CTG Label - Check for CTG (Certification Test Group) label is present, undamaged, and legible in the engine compartment. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester to verify the certification test group engine family number on the label matches the engine control module
- Door hinges (including door stay) and door latch - Lubricate
- Engine cooling system - Check freeze protection and coolant level
- Engine oil and oil filter - Change oil and replace filter
- Engine, transmission, final drive, steering (with front noise insulation removed) - Visual inspection for leaks and damage (including visible HV components of PHEV vehicles)
- Exterior lighting function - Check front and rear lights, high beams, low beams, turn signals, cornering lights, brake lights, reverse lights, license plate lights, fog lights, and hazard warning lights
- First aid kit - Check and enter expiration datea)
- Headlights - Check adjustment
- Horn - Check function
- Instrument cluster - Check warning and indicator lights
- Interior lights - Check all interior lights, trunk / cargo lights and glove box compartment illumination
- Multi-point inspection - Complete
- Plenum chamber and water drain valves - Check for dirt and clean if necessary (A6 (all models), A8 (all models), Q7 (all models), Q8 (all models) and RS 7)
- Road test - Perform
- Safety belts - Check function and condition of belt, belt tongue, and latch
- Service reminder indicator display - Reset display
- Space saver spare wheel and tire - Check condition and tire inflation pressure, adjust if necessary
- Spare tire - Check condition of wheel, tire, and tire inflation pressure, adjust if necessary
- Sunroof systems - Check function
- Suspension and axle components (front and rear) - Check dust seals on ball joints and tie rod ends; check for excessive play
- Tires - Check condition and tire tread wear. Check and record tread depth
- Tires - Check tire inflation pressure and adjust if necessary
- Tire repair kit - Check the completeness and expiration date
- Torque splitter - Inspect for heat/performance exposure with Vehicle Diagnostic Tester according to
- ELSA (fluid change required when exceeding 25kWh; refer also to Additional Maintenance) (RS 3 and S3)
- Underbody - Check for damage and leaks, check the wheel well liners, underbody panelling and that all lines are properly mounted (including visible HV components of PHEV vehicles)
- Warning triangle and first aid kit - Check if present
- Windshield washer and headlight washing system - Check adjustment and function. Add fluid ifnecessary
- Wiper blades - Check condition and replace if necessary
Additional Maintenance Items
Certain procedures are required more frequently for certain models, mostly high-performance models. So the procedures listed here are every bit as important as the previous ones; they just have a more complicated schedule breakdown.
