About The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron

Audi has emerged as an EV leader, with advanced battery and charging technology that stands out, even in such a highly competitive field. The A6 Sportback e-tron is an outstanding example of this. Powerful, luxurious, and offering class-leading range, this midsize sedan raises the bar for all electric vehicles. The A6 Sportback e-tron has a different look from the conventional A6, and the Sportback rear hatch design makes it more similar to the A7 in shape, so it should be noted that the A6 Sportback e-tron is built on a different platform and is mechanically unrelated to any gasoline-powered Audi model. That said, the qualities that made those models popular are very much present in the electric model, with comfortable seats, advanced driver aids, and great looks making the A6 Sportback e-tron instantly recognizable as an Audi model.

What the Critics Say

“The 2025 Audi A6 is arguably the best A6 the German carmaker has ever built. But here’s the thing: It’s also the first A6 ever built without an internal combustion engine. Yes, the smooth, quiet, fast, electric-powered A6 e-tron is a benchmark Audi, a tangible expression of the winds of change roaring through legacy automakers as they transition to designing, engineering, and manufacturing their own electric vehicles. The point is the new Audi A6 e-tron is not just a good EV—it’s a good car. Period.” - MotorTrend

“The A6 e-tron undeniably advances Audi's EV game and gallops ahead of its closest rivals.” - Car & Driver

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Features

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Charging

Cutting-Edge Drivetrain

Audi’s 800-volt battery technology is a game-changer for electric vehicles, and the A6 Sportback e-tron is the latest example of why. The drivetrain is available in two different configurations: a rear-wheel drive setup that produces 375 horsepower and an all-wheel drive setup that produces 456 horsepower. Advanced battery tech and the fact that the A6 Sportback e-tron is the most aerodynamic Audi model of all time combine to deliver incredible range. The rear-wheel drive version has a maximum range of 370 miles, while the all-wheel drive model can go 333 miles. Those are already great numbers, but the available Ultra Package extends that to 392 miles for the RWD and 377 miles for the AWD. But perhaps the biggest standout feature is the DC fast charging rate. The 800-volt architecture makes it possible to charge at 270 kW speeds, meaning that you can charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, half the time of some competitors.

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Interior

Luxury Interior

The interior of the A6 Sportback e-tron is as comfortable as you would expect from Audi, and as tech-forward as you would expect from a car with one of the most advanced EV drivetrains on the market. As more of the luxury segment moves towards only offering leather upholstery as an extra cost add-on, the A6 Sportback e-tron comes with genuine leather as standard equipment. Three-zone climate control comes standard as well, with a heat pump for maximum efficiency and cabin preconditioning for maximum comfort. Ambient LED interior lighting provides an unobtrusive and aesthetically pleasing way to help you see the interior at night. And no Audi vehicle would be complete without the option of an audiophile-grade stereo, with the 830-watt system in the A6 Sportback e-tron being made by Bang & Olufsen® and featuring 20 speakers.

Audi A6 Sportback e-tron Head-Up Display

Advanced Technology

The drivetrain isn’t the only advanced tech you’ll find in the A6 Sportback e-tron. Even the panoramic sunroof employs polymer-dispersed liquid crystal technology, so you can change it from transparent to opaque at the touch of a button. The Audi Virtual Cockpit display wraps around the driver’s seat, making it easy to see and operate the car’s many advanced functions. Making it even easier to keep tabs on things like speed and navigation directions is the available head-up display, which uses augmented reality technology to make this feature even more useful. To make the A6 Sportback e-tron more comfortable, while simultaneously improving handling, there is available height-adjustable adaptive air suspension. And to give the passenger access to entertainment and communication functions, there is an available passenger-side supplemental infotainment touchscreen.
