Since all-wheel drive is standard on the Q7, we’re adding the option to the Aviator for the sake of a straightforward comparison and using the base trim of each vehicle. The result is a pretty similar starting price. But factor in fuel costs, and things start to skew a bit differently. It’s also worth noting that the Q7 has a larger gas tank than the Aviator, so together with the superior fuel economy, you’re going to be stopping to fuel up less frequently with the Q7. The Q7 also features a more sophisticated front suspension setup, providing better handling than you get from the space/cost-saving strut setup in the Aviator.

A major upside of the Q7 is the standard leather upholstery. This is available for the Aviator too, but it requires an upgrade to a higher trim, which adds at least $10,000 to the price. The panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting that are standard on the Q7 would also add quite a bit to the price of the Aviator. And the fog lights that come with the Q7 aren’t available at all on the Aviator. When picking out the color combination that you like best for your Q7, you’ll appreciate having more options than you would with an Aviator, both inside and out. Lastly, Lincoln doesn’t offer any emergency roadside assistance coverage or routine maintenance with the price of the vehicle. This isn’t a big deal when compared to many competitors, but against a standout like Audi, it’s very noticeable.

Winner - Audi Q7

You can see why the Q7 is such a popular model, given how favorably it compares to one of the better competitors. The Aviator might have an attractive starting price, but you get so much more for your money with a Q7, including features that aren’t available for the Aviator at any price. But to truly appreciate how special the Q7 really is, you need to experience it in person, and Audi Ann Arbor can help with that. Stop in for a test drive and let us help you find the perfect Q7 for you.
