Both the Q3 and Q5 come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and quattro® all-wheel drive, but there are still important differences between the two drivetrains. The engine in the Q3 produces 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to conventional 8-speed automatic transmission. The bigger Q5 has an engine tuned to make 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, which comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Q3 is a few hundred pounds lighter, but the extra power in the Q5 means that it hits 60 mph in 5.8 seconds, compared to 7.1 seconds for the Q3. The Q5 is also available in a high performance version, the SQ5. This V6-powered version comes with 362 horsepower, 406 lb-ft of torque, and will hit 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.
