2026 Audi Q7 vs. Genesis GV80 Comparison with Price, Specs, & Photos

Audi Q7 vs Genesis GV80 - 2026 Model Comparison
2026 Audi Q7 VS 2026 Genesis GV80
The first thing to address about these two vehicles is the price difference. The Q7 starts at $62,000, while the GV80 starts at $57,700. That seems to be a slight advantage for the Genesis, but it’s not quite that simple. If you want all-wheel drive, leather upholstery, and a third row of seats, all of which come standard on the Q7, Genesis requires you to option up to a trim that adds nearly $11,000 to the price of the GV80. This highlights another advantage of the Q7: options. There are only a few accessories available for any given trim, things like mud flaps and roof rails, but no real equipment changes. You can’t choose a new wheel design, add a heated steering wheel, or choose from more than two basic interior colors. All equipment changes require a trim upgrade for the GV80, and that means a lot of GV80 buyers get stuck paying a ton of extra money for options they don’t want, just because the equipment they do want is locked to a higher trim.
Both vehicles come with a standard four-cylinder engine, with a V6 as an optional upgrade. But another major difference emerges when you want a bit more power out of either vehicle. For the GV80, your only option is to go with the GV80 Coupe, which comes with an upgraded version of the V6 engine that produces an extra 34 horsepower, although the change in body style means it does so at the expense of a certain amount of practicality. For the Q7, buyers can upgrade to the SQ7, which comes with a seriously powerful V8 and the same body style as the Q7. It even retains the third row of seats. This is fitting, as Audi has an impressive history in motorsports, including periods of absolutely dominating the top tiers of both rally racing and endurance racing. Audi is also just a much older brand in general, and that heritage shows itself in a number of different ways, from performance to aesthetics.
